Identity verification or KYC (Know Your Customer) is a legal requirement that all licensed online betting platforms must comply with and it is done for three important reasons that are for your own protection. First, it ensures that accounts are opened by real adults and that no minors or fake identities can log in, which is strictly prohibited under international gambling regulations. Second, it prevents money laundering and fraud because if we don't know who is using our platform, criminals could use it to clean illegal money, which we never want. Third and most importantly, it protects your own account and funds because if someone tries to steal your account or makes a fraudulent claim, we can verify who the real owner is and protect your assets. After you log in, when you first attempt to withdraw money or after depositing or betting a certain amount, we will request you to submit your KYC documents. You need to submit three categories of documents and the first is Identity Proof for which you need to upload clear color photos or scans of both the front and back of your National ID (NID) or the biodata page of your passport showing your photo and all information clearly - the image must be clear enough that all text is readable with no cuts or blurry sections. The second category is Address Proof for which you need to provide a recent document no more than three months old such as a utility bill in your name like electricity, gas, or water bill, or a bank statement that clearly shows your name and current address, or a government letter or certificate that proves your residential address - this document must also have all information clear and legible. The third category is Payment Method Verification which means if you use bank transfer or credit card, you need to prove that the bank account or card is in your name - a bank statement or photo of the card is sufficient but for security you can cover the middle 8 digits showing only the first 4 and last 4 digits. If you use mobile banking like bKash or Nagad, often a screenshot is enough showing the number is registered in your name. The document upload process is very simple and after you log in, go to your account settings or profile section where you will find a "Verification" or "KYC" tab and click there to upload each document step by step - the format can usually be JPG, PNG, or PDF and file size should generally not exceed 5 MB. After uploading, our compliance team will review your documents which is usually completed within 24 to 48 hours and if everything is correct, your account will be fully verified and you will receive a confirmation email and when you log in you will see a green check mark on your profile. If any document is unclear or incomplete, we will inform you and request you to upload again - no worries, our support team will help you. All documents are completely confidential and stored on encrypted servers and only authorized compliance officers can view them and they are never shared with third parties. Once verified, your withdrawal process will be much faster and you will enjoy higher withdrawal limits and priority service. So KYC is not just a rule but a security measure for everyone that ensures bet5888 remains a safe and trusted platform where only real players log in and play.
